PENANG: The decision to hold the Charity Shield match at the State Stadium in Batu Kawan on Feb 9 has given FA Cup champions Penang an early psychological boost.
The match against Malaysia Cup holders Selangor, which is also a Premier I tie, was to be held at the Shah Alam Stadium but the FA of Penang (FAP) made a successful bid for a change in venue. It will be the first time that Penang will host the season-opening match.
