LEEDS: A civil action for damages against Leeds United star Jonathan Woodgate will be formally launched at the end of this week by an Asian student who was allegedly assaulted by the player, the Yorkshire Post reported on Wednesday.
Almost three years ago, Sarfraz Najeib was viciously assaulted in Leeds city centre, leading to two trials in which Woodgate, and a number of teammates fell under the spotlight.
