SEREMBAN: Former international Anuar Jusoh is the latest among the local stars to have offered their services to Premier II side Negri Sembilan.
Earlier, former Selangor players Azlisham Ibrahim, Azman Adnan, Lim Chan Yew, Mohd Aiman Wong and B. Rajanikanh had pledged their services to the Deer.
The other local imports are Azrul Amri Burhan of Kelantan TNB, Khairul Anuar Baharom (Melaka Telekom), Reduan Mohd Radzy (Kedah) and Rosli Omar (Malacca).
“They have agreed to play for us and are expected to sign their contracts next week. Most of the contracts are for one year,” said Negri Sembilan FA (NSFA) secretary Datuk Abdullah Sani Abdul Hamid.
The NSFA have also retained 10 players from last year’s squad. They are Mohd Suffian Abdul Rahman, Norhafiz Zamani Misbah, Efendi Abdul Malek, Azrine Efendy, Mohd Saiful Sabtu, S. Palanisamy, K. Rajan, Shahrizam Mohamad, Mohd Yunus Mulup and Norhainizam Shahabudin.
On striker Hasmawi Hassan, Abdullah Sani said the NSFA would still include him in their players’ list.
Hasmawi was said to have pledged his services to Negri Sembilan but has opted to play for his home state, Penang, this season.
Abdullah Sani said if Hasmawi refused to play for Negri Sembilan, the NSFA would refer the case to the Players’ Status Committee. – Bernama
