Hassan elected deputy president

ALOR STAR: State Executive Councillor for Youth and Sports Datuk Mohd Hassan Bulat was elected as the deputy president of the Kedah FA at their biennial general meeting at the Wisma Darulaman here on Monday. 

He replaced Datuk Paduka Haji Ismail Shafie, who declined nomination. Datuk Ismail held the post since 1996 and he is due for retirement as the state secretary in May. 

There are two new faces among the three vice-presidents. They are Datuk Ahmad Bashah Mohd Hanipah and Datuk Chong Itt Chew. The duo replaced Datuk Wira Syed Zain Syed Abdullah and Datuk Mohd Zain Osman, who both declined nomination. 

Datuk Dr Nordin Yunus retained the post as vice-president.
