KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union have warned their affiliates that action will be taken against those who do not comply to the amended constitution.

The president, Datuk Khalid Yunus, said that the MAAU stood to lose the annual funds of RM500,000 provided by sponsors Nestle and the National Sports Council (NSC) if the affiliates failed to organise an Open and junior meet.

“The (amended) constitution requires every state to hold two meets per year.”
