Crowd turnout didn’t hit target, but SIC still happy

PETALING JAYA: Although shy of the 200,000 target for attendance at this year’s Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix, the annual event has seen steady growth in the last few years.

A total of 184,923 spectators flocked to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) over the weekend to catch the world’s best riders battle in the penultimate race of the season, beating last year’s figure of 182,912.
