PETALING JAYA: The hair will have to come off after young motorsport talent Hakim Danish brought Merdeka Day joy to Malaysia with a breakthrough win in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in Aragon, Spain.

The 17-year-old had made a promise to shave his head if he could make the top of the podium on Merdeka weekend and he did exactly that when he blazed the lanes to win Race 2 of the sixth round in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup on Spanish soil.
