Motor racing-Alpine F1 team appoint Oakes as principal


(Reuters) - Oliver Oakes has been appointed principal of Alpine, the Renault-owned Formula One team announced on Wednesday.

The 36-year-old Briton, who founded the Hitech Grand Prix outfit competing in various junior series, will start at the Enstone factory after the August break.
