PETALING JAYA: Newcomer Farres Putra Mohd Fadhill is up for a new challenge in the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK), which will kickstart with its season opener at the Sepang International Circuit from July 30-31.
Farres, the champion of Ohvale Malaysia Championship last year, will make his superbike debut in the MSBK250 class.
He has been actively involved in the motorsport arena since the age of five and started off with the KBS Mini Cub Prix championship before gaining momentum.
Farres is now competing in the Asia Talent Cup championship.
“This is my first time in the MSBK championship and I am determined to learn, progress over time and cherish my winning moments,” said Farres, who will be racing for SIC Racing Team aboard the Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
“The MSBK is very much new to me and there tricks of the trade that I will have to learn.
“It is not an overnight achievement but a challenge that will require picking up in a short period of time.
“I believe that my experience in the Asia Talent Cup will serve as a pedestal for me to gain the confidence that I need for this race.
“I am thankful to my team for working tirelessly to ensure that I’ll be fully equipped with not just the technical capacities but most importantly, the right support.”
