PETALING JAYA: A trip to Spain beckons for three young Malaysian riders.
Farres Putra Fadhil, Emil Idzhar Ezuan and Farish Hafey Farid Sezli finished in the top three of the FIM MiniGP Malaysia Series after they completed Race 1 and 2 in Round 4 at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday.
The top three riders in the Malaysian series qualify for the FIM MiniGP World Series finale in Valencia next month.
Farres was proclaimed champion of the series after finishing fifth in Race 1 in 15:05.700 and third in Race 2 with a time of 15:18.922.
Emil, who was struggling in Round 3, found his groove in Round 4 when he finished second in both Races 1 and 2 with a time of 14:42.492 and 15:18.410, respectively.
Farish finished Race 1 in fifth place and Race 2 in fourth position with times of 15:15.044 and 15:19.011 respectively.
Adib Arsyad was the rider of the day as he won both races. In the first race, he clocked 14:42.469, and in the second, he won in 15:09.412.
In the final standings, Farres finished top with 135 points while Emil was second with 122 points and Farish third with 120 points.
