Nazim signs deal with reigning European champs

PETALING JAYA: Up-and-coming racer Nazim Azman will spread his wings to Europe for his 2021 racing campaign, having inked a deal with reigning champions CryptoTower Racing for the EuroFormula Open championship.

After two seasons in the BRDC British F3 championship, the Malaysian driver steps back into international competition for the first time since debuting in the Italian F4 championship in 2018.

Nazim took four race wins and 10 podium finishes with Chris Dittmann Racing and Carlin to secure a top-five finish in the British F3 championship last year.

“I am excited to return to Europe to contest the EuroFormula Open series with CryptoTower Racing, ” said Nazim.

“The team have a great background and clearly a level of support that enabled it to take the EuroFormula title at the first attempt last season.

“After two years in British F3, I firmly believe this is the best next step for me as it will not only allow me to continue developing as a racing driver but also experience a step up in equipment.

“I am going to aim for a top three position at the very least, ” said the 19-year-old.
