FABIO Quartararo continued to shift the goalposts in his rookie MotoGP season by smashing the Sepang lap record twice in the practice sessions of the Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix.
The 20-year-old Frenchman, still nursing an ankle injury sustained at the Australian Grand Prix in Phillip Island last week, lit up the timesheets during the late time attacks using a fresh soft rear tyre to set a stunning 1:58.576 at the Sepang International Circuit yesterday.
