Isyraf Danish was the last Malaysian to win on home ground in 2016 and these newcomers could well be on their way to retrieve the crown.
At the last event in Madras last month, the duo did not finish on the podium but Alister proved he has the pace while Muizz is steadily returning to form.
“I’m very excited to return home. Racing is my passion, my life. I couldn’t ask for anything more than to win at home and I hope to do everyone proud,” said Muizz.
But there will be plenty of other competitors who will be looking to snatch the chequered flag.
Oman’s Shihab Al Habsi, Ireland’s Lucca Allen and Finland’s Elias Seppanen are just three drivers expected to fight for the podium spots.
The Omani speedster won the overall title in India while Allen dominated in Sepang earlier in the season.
The weekend will again see a four-race format with two races each on Saturday and Sunday.
