Nothing can shake her resolve

Life in the fast lane: Siti Shahkirah Shaharul listening to Alex Yoong as she prepares for the all-female W Series.

Shaharul Mohd Ali sold his Kawasaki bike to buy a baby go-kart for his daughter Siti Shahkirah when she was just six. That was how Siti Shahkirah started her love affair with motorsports. After 18 years, her fascination with life in the fast lane has not waned and Shahkirah has made Malaysia proud as the only driver from South-East Asia to make it to the final list for the all-female W Series. StarSport’s LIM TEIK HUAT caught up with Shahkirah, who is mentored by former Formula 1 driver Alex Yoong, as she prepares for the biggest challenge of her life so far.
