Zaqhwan grabs double podium finish in India


Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi qualified fourth on the grid for the Petronas Asia Road Racing Championships race after clocking 1:05.204 at the Sepang International Circuit.

PETALING JAYA: Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi (pic) is back in the driver’s seat for the SuperSports 600cc overall title after powering his way to a double podium finish in the fifth leg of the Asia Road Racing Championships (ARRC) in India.

The 22-year-old Malaysian, a former Moto2 rider, won Race One at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai on Saturday. He finished second in the rain-shortened Race Two yesterday.
