PETALING JAYA: Yamaha rider Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin (pic) posted the quickest time of 51.235 to take pole position in the CP150 class of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship at Jasin, Melaka.

The Petronas Sprinta Yamaha Maju Motor rider’s hot pace at the temporary track in Jasin was matched by teammate Abdul Muhaimin Roslan, who clocked 51.576.

Team Petronas Sprinta Yamaha-CKJ’s Ahmad Afif Amran was third fastest in 51.631.

“I like this new track very much although the surface is a bit slippery.

“Any small error of judgement is likely to send the rider off the track and out of podium contention,” said Kasma.

In the CP115 category, championship leader Mohd Akid Aziz was the fastest after clocking 51.155.
