Alex within striking distance to clinch Audi R8 LMS Cup title


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Alex Yoong and China’s Cheng Congfu are tied for the championship lead in the Audi R8 LMS Cup after a dramatic weekend in Fuji, Japan.

Driving for Audi Teda Racing Team, Alex won Round 10 from pole position for his fourth win of the season. He clocked 27:42.020 in the 16-lap race. But the former Formula One driver was forced to retire in Round 11 due to a broken suspension.
