Jazeman cuts the mustard in Formula Renault opener

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Jazeman Jaafar made a splendid start to his 2015 season with a second-place finish in the opening round of the Formula Renault 3.5 Series at Motorland Aragon in Spain.

Competing in his third season in the Formula One feeder series, Jazeman made a superb 1-2 finish for his new team Fortec Motorsports. Team-mate Oliver Rowland of Britain won the race after winner Meindert van Buuren of Holland received a 20-second penalty for a jump start. Red Bull Junior’s Dean Stoneman of Britain was placed third.
