Rookies clash to narrow gap

PETALING JAYA: The fierce rivalry between rookie riders Mohd Hafiz Nor Azman and Mohd Fakhrusy Syakirin Rostam will come to a head this weekend in Temerloh, Pahang, when they vie to narrow the gap with CP115 leader Ahmad Afif Amran in Round Seven of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship.

Hafiz and Fakhrusy’s rivalry began last year when they competed in the WIRA class. The latter showed impressive form to bag six wins as opposed to Hafiz’s two but a crash in the penultimate leg forced Fakhrusy to withdraw from the last two rounds and this allowed his rival to seal the 2012 WIRA win.
