Sarjit banks on four seniors to lead new-look side at Azlan Shah Cup

We can stick with them: (clockwise from top) Fitri Saari, Hafizuddin Othman, Marhan Jalil and Faizal Saari are still going strong in their 30s.

PETALING JAYA: National head coach Sarjit Singh knows that his new-look team for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup had less than three weeks of training before the competitions begins in Ipoh tomorrow but he can depend on his four senior statesmen to show the way.

Goalkeeper Hafizuddin Othman (32), defender Marhan Jalil (34), midfielder Fitri Saari (31) and striker Faizal Saari (33) have led the inexperienced team well during their friendly match against New Zealand at the Azlan Shah Stadium where Malaysia won 3-2 on Wednesday.
