Olympians NZ top draw for Azlan Shah Cup

PETALING JAYA: New Zealand will be the star attraction at this year’s Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh from May 4-11 as they are the only Olympic Games-bound team in the field.

Perak Hockey Association (PHA) president Datuk Sayuthi Abdul Samat said other teams, who had qualified for the Paris Games in July, had declined invitation to play in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup because they are involved in the ongoing FIH Pro League matches.
