PETALING JAYA: The experience of winning the 2018 Youth Olympics gold in Buenos Aires came in handy as Malaysia came from behind to edge Trinidad and Tobago 5-4 to reach the semi-finals of the inaugural men’s Hockey5s World Cup in Muscat, Oman, yesterday.

Three of the five goals were scored by the survivors of the Youth Olympics squad - Akhimullah Anuar Esook, Kamarulzaman Kamaruddin and Syarman Mat Tee - as they exceeded the quarter-final target set by the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC).
