PETALING JAYA: Fitri Saari is all geared up to help Malaysia qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics but he is facing a stern battle to earn that opportunity.

The midfielder, having fully recovered from a knee injury that dashed his hopes of playing at the Hangzhou Asian Games two months ago, doesn’t want to take things for granted and intends to earn his place in the final 18 of the Speedy Tigers squad who will compete at the FIH Olympic Qualifiers in Muscat, Oman, from Jan 13-21.
