SABAHAN Khaliq Hamirin has received a new lease of life after being recalled to the Speedy Tigers training squad but the midfielder wants to complete his mission to help Malaysia win the men’s indoor hockey gold when they face Indonesia today.

The 26-year-old was first called up by former national coach Roelant Oltmans in 2020 but was dropped without playing a match but his fine performance for Terenggamu during their treble success in the Malaysian Hockey League (MHL) caught the eye of current Tigers coach A. Arulselvaraj.
