Arul places confidence in Najmi to replace Marhan as captain

PETALING JAYA: National coach A. Arulselvaraj is unperturbed by the absence of experienced skipper Marhan Jalil for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, which begins in Ipoh on Tuesday, as he believes the Speedy Tigers are not a team built around one player.

Marhan, a veteran of 278 caps, had been left out to recover from the second metatarsal hairline fracture he picked up during the Tour of Belgium earlier this month while forwards Shahril Saabah and Muhajir Abdu Rauf are also out due to injuries.
