Nur Ain goes seven up as Pahang sound the board 20 times


PETALING JAYA: The Pahang girls registered the biggest victory in the National Under-16 hockey championships when they thrashed Perlis 20-0 with Nur Ain Syuhada Ahmad Zaini hammering seven goals at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

Nur Ain struck in the second, 13th, 15th, 20th, 36th, 40th and 46th minutes to cap a brilliant individual performance in the Group B match.

Perlis suffered their second bashing in the tournament after suffering a 17-0 defeat at the hands of defending champions Penang in the opening day of the tournament on Wednesday.

Contenders Negri Sembilan were also in their element when they secured a huge 17-0 win over Kelantan.

Kuala Lumpur bounced back from the 2-3 defeat to Perak in their first match when they blasted Sabah 10-0.

Group B: Johor 5 Sarawak 0; Melaka 2 Perlis 0; N. Sembilan 3 Sabah 0.

Girls

Group B: K. Lumpur 10 Sabah 0.
