Marhan wants Asia Cup before place in the World Cup

PETALING JAYA: The dream is to qualify for next year’s hockey World Cup – but Malaysian Tigers captain Marhan Jalil wants to do it in style by winning the Asia Cup in Jakarta from May 23-July 1.

Although the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) have only set World Cup qualification as the objective, Marhan has upped the ante – he wants his team to lift the Cup, something Malaysia have never done.
