Malaysia whitewash Indonesia in schools hockey

KUALA LUMPUR: Defending champions Malaysia romped to a 15-0 win over Indonesia in the Asian Schools Under-18 hockey championships at the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium in Ipoh on Saturday.

The Malaysians led 5-0 at half time. Mohamed Alif Syawaz scored a hat-trick while the other goalscorers were Khairul Helmy Napi, Mohamed Asyraf Hadi, Mohamed Zulhamizan, Misniwan Gusni (all two goals each), Abdul Khaliq Hamirin, Nik Mohamed Aiman, Adrian Albert and Mohamed Ramdan Ariffin.
