National hockey coach: I need more players

KUALA LUMPUR: National coach Paul Revington has requested a bigger squad of players to tackle a bumper hockey calendar that will see them compete in five tournaments in seven months next year.

The national hockey team will have their plates full in 2014 beginning with the 23rd edition of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup (March 13-23) in Ipoh, Men’s Champions Challenge I (Apr 26- May 4) in Kuantan, 13th World Cup (May 31 to June 15) at The Hague, Netherlands, Commonwealth Games (July 23 to Aug 3) in Glasgow, Scotland and the Asian Games (Sept 19 to Oct 4) in Incheon, South Korea.
