KUALA LUMPUR: A patched-up Pahang team can breathe a sigh of relief after beating Kelantan 3-2 in their opening Group A match of the MHC Under-21 hockey tournament at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

Pahang had picked up five Perak players – M. Alif Noor Faizal, M. Nur Amin M. Zulkipli, M. Norsyahmi Rasidi, M. Firdaus Mohd Suhaini and Mohd Fahmi Faiz Mad Isa – on Saturday after the quintet were not selected for their team.
