KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia lost the bid to host the 2018 World Cup to India. The decision to award the 2018 World Cup to India was made by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) on Thursday night in Lausanne, Switzerland.
A day earlier five countries had made a presentation of their bids to the FIH executive board. Besides Malaysia and India, the other countries were Australia, England and New Zealand.
