PETALING JAYA: National men’s gymnastics coach Tan Jia En has had a tumultuous start to his career in Malaysia but he believes the team have what it takes to succeed on the world stage.

The Chinese-born Scottish took over the team in August and had to grapple with injuries to the senior boys. He also had depleted juniors as many were unable to report for regular training sessions due to academic obligations.
