PETALING JAYA: National rhythmic gymnast Amy Kwan Dict Weng is more than determined to make a return from a serious ankle injury after winning the women’s Olym­pian of the Year award on Wed­nesday.

Amy was duly named as the best athlete of the year by Olympic Council of Malaysia after winning one gold (in ribbon), one silver (team) and two bronzes (all-around and hoop) at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia in April.
