THE Maybank Championship, Malaysia’s sole international golf tournament of substance, lived up to its billing and delivered big time as local rising stars Mirabel Ting and Ashley Lau finished in the top 20 of the LPGA event.

The tournament itself culminated with a thrilling conclusion when China’s Ruoning Yin claimed her fifth LPGA Tour title at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club.
