Teen Xin Yao excels by winning Under-18 title in Johor

PETALING JAYA: Youngster Wang Xin Yao was one of the shining stars for Malaysia in the SportExcel International Junior Golf Championships when she emerged as the overall champion in the girls’ Under-18 category.

The 16-year-old, who has a handicap of 1.4, did well to score a total of four-over 220 to take home the title after three rounds at the Tanjong Puteri Golf and Resort in Johor on Sunday.
