RORY McIlroy had all the momentum he could want heading into the PGA Championship as he attempts to end a drought in the major championships that has lasted a decade. He also has a major distraction – divorce.

McIlroy was coming off two straight victories, one of them with Irish friend Shane Lowry in New Orleans, the other at Quail Hollow last week in the Wells Fargo Championship.
