POLAND’S Adrian Meronk was surprisingly let out of the Ryder Cup team by captain Luke Donald after he was told he was not good enough to make the European squad this year.

Despite winning three times on the DP World Tour since July of last year, including a victory in May on the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club course in Rome where the Ryder Cup will be contested from Sept 29 to Oct 1, Meronk was told his services would not be needed.
