Built for more distance, forgiveness

ONOFF Golf have released their new AKA line-up designed for golfers who want to enjoy the game with equipment that performs “optimally”.

The driver has been developed with a heavier head and an increased moment of inertia (MOI).

It features Onoff’s Full Core technology to create a more powerful impact.

This results in the most distance and forgiveness in AKA history.

The Cross Balance technology (CBT) has three interchangeable weights – two in the head and one in the grip.

This allows golfers to achieve their optimal swing weight.

Onoffs’s Trajectory Control System allows for the trajectory to be adjusted in two ways.

The two weights in the sole of the clubhead can be swapped, while the adjustable sleeve allows for loft, lie and face angle changes.

Onoff’s new Triple Power Trench expands the sweet spot, and by using a light-weight, high-strength carbon crown with the adjustable weight screws in the sole, the AKA driver features a higher MOI. It comes with a lightweight shaft.

The fairway woods and utility clubs feature the same Power Trench design. They do have a Twin Cut sole, though. This indentation reduces friction when the clubhead makes contact with the ground, allowing golfers to maintain swing speed and keep the direction of the head on line.

The new AKA fairway woods and utilities feature a variable thickness face which help create bigger sweet spots and increased rebound off the face.

The AKA irons boast a Direct Repulsion face. It has two levels of thickness separated by an advanced Power Trench, which improves the flex of the lower portion of the face.

Combined with the L-Cup structure of the lower part of the face, it has a greatly improved spring effect.

The head construction, built for great feel at impact, features a sintered tungsten weight in the irons that is 1.8 times heavier than the previous model.

As a result, Onoff managed to increase the MOI and sweet spot of the irons, while achieving their lowest and deepest centre of gravity.

In the graphite shaft option, Onoff matched the AKA irons with their own Smooth Kick MP-522I shaft.

The suggested retail pricing for the AKA line is – driver: RM3,800, fairway wood: RM1,990, utility: RM1,600, irons: RM7,350 (graphite), RM5,200 (steel).
