IN a week when the Malaysia Golf Association (MGA) announced the absence of three of the country’s leading amateurs from the South-East Asian (SEA) Games in Vietnam in May, Natasha Andrea Oon and Ashley Lau Jen Wen moved up to career bests in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

Natasha, the best placed of any Malaysian amateur player, climbed to 18th place from 20th last week, while Ashley moved crept up 12 places to 33rd in the world on the back of a win at the Florida Gators Invitational last weekend.
