PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Gavin Green (pic) has put himself in a good position to record his best European Tour finish of the season after carding a third-round one-under 70 to be tied for 20th at the €3mil (RM14.78mil) Italian Open.

The 27-year-old will head into the final day on five-under through 54 holes, backed by a decent start which saw him opening with a pair of 69s at the Marco Simone Golf Club in Rome.
