THE women’s game took centre stage last week with the first Major of the season – the ANA Inspiration in Rancho Mirage, California where Patty Tavatanakit lit up the world of sport.

The 21-year-old rookie from Thailand won her first LPGA title and made it a Major at that. And this was no mean achievement, yet also every bit deserved.
