THE Ryder Cup was one of the casualties of the Covid-19 pandemic this year.
However, there are plans to host next season and the European Tour have confirmed that the qualification process for the showdown with the United States at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin will resume on Friday (Jan 1) and conclude at the BMW PGA Championship on Sept 12.
The process, which began at last September’s BMW PGA Championship, was suspended after the conclusion of the 2020 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in March this year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic which shut down the European Tour at that point.
