Women’s game in spotlight

World No 1 Jin Young Ko did not play much golf this season and yet still finished runner-up at the US Women’s Open last weekend.

SOUTH Korea’s dominance of the ladies’ game was yet again underscored in last week’s US Women’s Open at the Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas, where Kim A. Lim triumphed by a single stroke.

Her compatriot and world number one Jin Young Ko was joint runner-up with American Amy Olson on two-under 282, while last year’s British Open champion Hinako Shibuno was fourth on 283.
