PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s top women’s golfer Alyaa Abdulghany came close to making history as the first from the country to win a Major golf meet in the US.
However, the 21-year-old narrowly missed out when her gallant run ended in the semi-finals of the 120th US Women’s Amateur yesterday. Still, it was a proud moment as it was the best achievement ever by a Malaysian in the tournament’s history.
