PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's top women's golfer Kelly Tan claimed her second best result on the US LPGA Tour, finishing joint 11th at the Drive On Championship in Ohio on Sunday (Aug 2).

The 26-year-old closed with a 74 to finish on one-over 217 in total at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.

Kelly finished eight shots behind winner American Danielle Kang, whose seven-under 209 effort earned her a one stroke victory over Celine Boutier of France.

The tied 11th placing marks Kelly's second best LPGA career finish since she made her debut in 2014.

It was during her rookie year that Kelly finished tied fourth at the Marathon Classic for her sole top 10 result to date.
