SUN CITY, South Africa (Reuters) - South African Zander Lombard overcame a poor start to surge into a two-shot lead after the second round of the European Tour's Nedbank Golf Challenge, sinking six birdies and an eagle in a round of 65 at the Gary Player Country Club on Friday.

Lombard is 11 under-par for the tournament, ahead of compatriot Louis Oosthuizen, who could not repeat his heroics of the opening round when he shot a superb 63, as he carded a par score of 72.
