Winners and members of the Maserati Club toast the success of their event.

THE Maserati Club of Malaysia held its golf tournament at Palm Garden Golf Club in Putrajaya and it proved a major success with 128 in the field.

Given the turnout, there was some top-class golf played on one of the more popular tracts around and all for a good cause – charity.

The beneficiaries were Sunbeam and Rumah Bakti, who each received RM15,000 from the proceeds of the tournament.

A spokesman for the organisers said a total of RM100,000 was raised on the day and that the balance of the funds to be distributed to other charitable organisations.

In an unusual, but spectacular closing ceremony, there was a fireworks show put on - all after an event that had a Maserati Ghibli on offer as a hole-in-one prize and sponsored by Naza Italia.

Among the many other sponsors of the event were CrestLink, Matrix Holiday, Turkish Airlines, Chiva-Som, Edrington and Macallan.
