SEOUL (Reuters) - Jason Day boosted his Presidents Cup hopes with a strong six-under 66 to lie two shots behind local favourite An Byeong-hun who grabbed the opening-round lead at the CJ Cup after a bogey-free outing on Thursday.
Australian Day is keen to impress International captain Ernie Els for a spot at December's Presidents Cup in Melbourne and the 31-year-old wielded a favourite putter to sink six birdies at Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju island in South Korea.
