THE fourth and final Major championship of the season is upon us and the 148th British Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, this week promises great excitement and intrigue, just as it has delivered down the years.
The Dunluce Links, the championship course at the 36-hole venue, will enjoy a good measure of the global spotlight as this is the first time the Open returns to Portrush since it held the world’s oldest and most famous Major championship there in 1951.
