Chien-yao fires five-under 66 for one-stroke lead

SINGAPORE: Taiwan Hung Chien-yao has drawn first blood in the SMBC Singapore Open after carding five-under 66 on the first day at the Sentosa Golf Club.

Aiming to get his first win in the Asian Tour, Chien-yao grabbed the outright lead after the morning session thanks to an eagle at the par-five fourth hole and four birdies against a single bogey.
